Stanly County 4-H Mum Sale
The Stanly County 4-H office is now taking orders for mums through the end of August. The colors available are: Yellow, Red and Bronze. The mums are in 8-inch pots and will be delivered to the Stanly County Agri-Civic Center on September 9, 2004.

Stanfield to Hold Cruise-In and Street Dance
Stanfield Parks and Recreation in conjunction with Stanfield School will hold a Fall Classic Car Cruise-In on Saturday; August 28, 2004. The Cruise-In will begin at 2:00 pm and will be conducted on the streets adjacent to Stanfield School. Parking will be available on the old ball field adjacent to the school. Bring your cars and yard chairs and enjoy a view of yesteryear. Food concessions will be available throughout the afternoon.
