Beach Blast 2004
For the fourth year in a row, Albemarle Downtown Development will present "Beach Blast '04". The festivities this year will include Billy Scott & The Prophets along with Vision. There will be childrens rides and entertainment. Plenty of food and refreshments and a shag contest. Win a trip to Myrtle Beach!

Thursdays at the Station
The fifth year of "Thursdays at the Station", Albemarle Parks and Recreation's outdoor concert series, will begin on May 20th with Blue Horizon in concert at 8:00 p.m. Blue Horizon plays traditional bluegrass music, and is headquartered in Candor, North Carolina. 2004 Annual Rabies Vaccination Clinic
Section 130A-185 of the laws of North Carolina requires all owners of each and every dog or cat four months old or older to have same vaccinated against Rabies. The annual Rabies Clinic in Stanly County will be conducted by Drs. Sam Griffen, Zane Bowles, Jim Link, and Tom Magnum.

This vaccine is good for a three-year period. Dogs and cats vaccinated in 2001 should be vaccinated again this year. Any dog or cat four months old or older that is receiving its first dose of the vaccine will be vaccinated for a period of one year and three years, thereafter. A vaccination fee of $7.00 will be charged and must be paid, with cash only, at the time of the vaccination. Click here to read more...

Town Center Charrette Planned for Locust, North Carolina
Main Street Property LLC (MSP) and Duany Plater-Zyberk & Company (DPZ) announce a planning Charrette for the new town center to be built in Locust, North Carolina. Tom Low of DPZ Architects will lead the Charrette with representatives of MSP and town planners actively participating. Badin Soccer Summer League
Itís time to register for the 9th Annual Summer 5v5 Soccer League for middle school league (7th and 8th grade), high school league (9th to 12thgrade), and premier league (college and adults). Limit 40 participants each league. Registration fee of $40 includes jersey, accident insurance and tournament fees.
