Spring Fling 2005 - April 23, 2005
Sponsored by Stanfield Parks and Recreation and Stanfield School. Schedule of events is as follows:
Cruise In and Swap Meet to be held on Old School Field and along South Loves Chapel Road.
Antique Car/Truck/Motorcycle Cruise In.
Swap Meet and Vendors will be available.
Come out and view the cars/trucks of yesteryear and motorcycles.
Food Vendors will be available (Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, BBQ, Chips, etc.)

The Albemarle Downtown Development Corporation will
hold the 2nd Annual Outdoorsman's Bonanza on April 2, 2005 at the
Stanly County Agri-Civic Center (Hwy 24/27). More than $130,000
in prizes will be given away. All proceeds will benefit the Albemarle
Downtown Development Corporation.
Early bird tickets are
available until January 3,
2005. Five early bird
drawings
will be held at noon. These
five winning ticket holders
receive $1,000 each and
their tickets (and all early
bird tickets) go back in the
drawing for the main
event starting at 1pm.

Charity Bass Tournament
Hospice of Stanly County will hold a Charity Bass Tournament in memory of Floyd Crisco & Roger D. Laney. The tournament will be held May 1, 2005 at Badin Lake, Alcoa Landing. Guaranteed $1000 for first Place.

2005 MINI-MEDLEY RELAY
Albemarle Parks and Recreation will once again conduct the annual Mini- Medley Relay. The race will be held on Saturday, April 16 with the start- finish line located in front of Central Elementary School. Race entry forms have been sent to all Stanly County schools, and are also available at the Albemarle Parks and Recreation offices at Rock Creek Park. Race divisions are offered for Elementary (grades 3-5), Middle School (grades 6-8), High School (grades 9-12) as well as open, corporate, and family divisions. A fun- run/walk at 8:30 a.m. will precede the main event which begins at 9 am. For further information, contact Albemarle Parks and Recreation at 704-984-9560.
