Stanfield School "Winter Carnival"
A winter carnival and BBQ dinner will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. February 25, 2005. Fun & Games in school gym (6:oo - 8:00 p.m.) Come early! Enjoy Pork BBQ in cafeteria(5:00- 8:00). SMH Offering CPR Classes
Stanly Memorial Hospital will be offering CPR classes on Feb. 28. The class will run from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. in the Family & Education Center. The class is a certification course. The Albemarle Downtown Development Corporation will hold the 2nd Annual Outdoorsman's Bonanza on April 2, 2005 at the Stanly County Agri-Civic Center (Hwy 24/27). More than $130,000 in prizes will be given away. All proceeds will benefit the Albemarle Downtown Development Corporation.

Early bird tickets are available until January 3, 2005. Five early bird drawings will be held at noon. These five winning ticket holders receive $1,000 each and their tickets (and all early bird tickets) go back in the drawing for the main event starting at 1pm.

Albemarle Tee Ball Registration
Registration for Albemarle Tee Ball will be held March 7-11, 8:30am-5pm weekdays at the Rock Creek Park office. Tee Ball is an instructional, non- competitive baseball program for boys and girls born between June 1, 1998 and July 31, 2000. Fun and Fundamentals come first! Cost is $11 for city residents and $22 for non- city residents. First time participants must bring a copy of birth certificate at time of registration.
