Toy and Food Drive

a food and toy drive. We are asking for your support
donating new unwrapped toys and non-perishable foods. The
donations can be dropped off at our office,
160 North First Street in Albemarle, Food Lion on Hwy 52 or at Oakboro Tire and Tractor. For

2004 Albemarle Downtown Christmas Cards now Available

Going On at Endy School
Talented students at Endy School strutted their stuff on November 15 at the first "Endy Idol" talent show. Ten acts entertained a large audience of parents, friends and staff members. Acts ranged from singing to gymnastics to creative movement. At the evening's conclusion, first place went to Randi Harris, Emily Talley, and Heather Tucker for the creative movement program "Arise My Love". Second place was awarded to Tiffany Prevatte for her song "Hero". Louie Frick tied for third place for his rendition of "She's My Kind of Rain", along with Courtney Mullis who performed an original gymnastics routine.

The Albemarle Downtown Development Corporation will
hold the 2nd Annual Outdoorsman's Bonanza on April 2, 2005 at the
Stanly County Agri-Civic Center (Hwy 24/27). More than $130,000
in prizes will be given away. All proceeds will benefit the Albemarle
Downtown Development Corporation.
Early bird tickets are
available until January 3,
2005. Five early bird
drawings
will be held at noon. These
five winning ticket holders
receive $1,000 each and
their tickets (and all early
bird tickets) go back in the
drawing for the main
event starting at 1pm.
