Stanly County Crimestoppers is offering $3775 for information leading to conviction of the person or persons responsible for the death of Chance Smith. One Stop Early Voting
The Stanly County Board of Elections will open three One-Stop Early Voting sites - Albemarle, New London, and Oakboro. Early voting period is October 14th through October 30th.

A Fall Evening At The Fork Stables
Mark your calendar now for the Foundation Forum's fall fundraiser. On Saturday, October 23, please plan to join with friends of the Foundation for a casual, autumn evening at the Fork Stables. The site, located in a pristine natural setting where the Rocky and the Pee Dee Rivers come together, was developed in 1999 into a premier riding facility in Norwood. This beautiful property will be the venue for our evening of dining, hayrides, riding exhibitions and more!

First Street Festival
The YMCA is currently planning the second “First Street Festival”-a free community event. Beginning at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 30th, the Y Park will be filled with music, hayrides, and food.” TRUCK OR TREATING “begins at 5:00 p.m. Kids are invited to wear their costumes, walk to each car and “truck or treat’!
