NC Apple Festival

Line Dance

The Senior Center, 283 N. Third St., Albemarle, will have two sessions of line dance - Mondays at 6 pm beginning Sept. 13 and Tuesdays at 10:30am beginning Sept. 14. Sessions will be 10 weeks. Ball Room Dance Classes

Ball Room Dance classes will begin at the Senior Center, 283 N. Third St., Albemarle, on Tues., Sept. 14. The class will be Tuesday nights for 9 weeks. Intermediate will be at 6:30pm, Beginners at 7:30pm, and Advanced at 8:30pm. The cost is $45 per person, due at the time of registration. Classes will cover the Fox Trot, Swing & Waltz. August Monthly Dance

NASCAR Hall of Fame

Join us as we travel to Charlotte, NC on Friday, Sept. 24, to visit the newly opened, NASCAR Hall of Fame. Card Making with Rubber Stamp

Sudah Stuehm will be instructing a class on making cards with rubber stamp. She will focus on folding, paper piercing, cutting paper, embossing, and different rubber stamp accessories. The class will start Fri., Oct. 1 from 10am- Noon. The class will be Fridays for six weeks. Each week, you will make 2 cards. Individuals will need to bring paper cutters (if you have them), scissors and adhesive (glue/tape). The cost is $20 per person (plus materials), due at the time of registration. Art Classes

Faith Alexander will begin a new session of Art Classes at the Senior Center, 283 N. Third St., Albemarle. She focuses on watercolor but does some drawing. The cost for the class is $20 per person, due at the time of registration, and we need a minimum of 10 students for the class to make. The art this group has done is beautiful! Laugh Out Loud Farce!

However, her money making enterprise might come crashing down around her when her granddaughter stumbles upon her business, and her money-hungry landlord starts snooping for ways to evict Sylvia and get a tenant who pays full rent! Stanly Parents of Twins and Triplets

Where: Locust Presbyterian Church Stanly Parents of Twins and Triplets are...

" Parents that help promote interest in and knowledge through the exchange of ideas about delivering and caring for their children

" Parents who listen to your concerns, share your experiences and offer hints and suggestions

" Parents who become friends by sharing the joys and trials of parenting multiples.

Meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm. We meet at the Locust Presbyterian Church. The church is located on Hwy. 24/27 in Locust. All mothers of multiple births are invited to attend. We have members from Stanly, Montgomery, Cabarrus, Union and Rowan counties. Meeting topics vary from speaker to support group sessions. When you join SPOTT, you will have a built in support network. We also have a lending library available for members. You will receive our monthly newsletter "THE SPOTT- SPOTLIGHT". When you join, your dues include membership in our State and National Organization. Our National Mothers of Twins Club sends out bi-monthly publication, "Notebook". History of SPOTT

Stanly Parents of Twins was founded January 16, 1996. The club has been a member of the National Organization of Twins Clubs, Inc. (NOMOTC) since September 1996. The club has been a member of North Carolina Mothers of Multiples (NCMOM) since January 1997. In 2002 we added Triplets to our name.
The National Organization of Mothers of Multiples was founded in 1960 and includes over 475 clubs from across the country. NOMOTC has a wonderful website full of great information (www.nomotc.org). The annual convention is held the last week in July, in different locations each year. North Carolina Mothers of Multiples was founded in 1985 and includes 13 member clubs. They also have a website full of local information (ncmom.org). The annual convention is held the first weekend in November in various cities in NC. For more information email: spottnc@gmail.com


YOUNG WOMEN IN ACTION
This womens' service club gives young women ages 9 to 18 the opportunity to learn through mentoring with positive role models. No registration or dues is charged. The group meets every Saturday afternoon from 1:00 to 3:00 at the E.E. Waddell Community Center.


MEN MAKING A DIFFERENCE
This mens' service club provides assistance to families and mentoring for youth in the South Albemarle community. The group meets at the E.E. Waddell Community Center on the first and third Mondays of each month at 6:00 p.m.
